Update final assault to happen from more sides instead of one at a time
The last time I played the final "epic" battle, it was very underwhelming. Instead of getting attacked from all sides at once, I got attacked clockwise little by little, and I didn't feel like I could lose.

Agreed. The Final wave too easy on any difficult. Because in this time you have a big base with very much towers and superplasma. You have a very much creatures in wave, but they dying to easy. I don't know how it can be balancing. It's not a fault of developers or balance, it's a problem of mechanic. I remember the final defending of Warcraft III: you can building the very much towers, but you still can lost 90% of base in final. -

YamiryuuZeroCompletely agree with you. I was expecting to get overwhelmed from all sides and that my smaller bases stretched across the map would be destroyed one by one as they would only serve to hold the hordes back long enough for the Rift to open, but the way they are now, I tend to eliminate the waves and just sit there waiting for the portal to open without anything to do. I don't even have to fight the waves, my turrets do all the work.

srs008i can agree, the solution is to throw some variance in the movement tasking.
right now everything is simply rushing forwards into a meat grinder. which would be fine in a zombie game. but these creatures are meant to be smart. it's not unreasonable they'd try to attack as many pieces of your base at once as they could.
no creature with a ounce of intellect will walk forward into outright death.
obviously, true smart pathing is out of the question due to resource demands. but it's not that crazy to consider the army dividing into distinct clumps that attack a slight distance away. so instead of trying to attack a area that is 50 tiles wide, they'll be attacking a surface much closer to say, 300 tiles but a lot more spread out.
that attack may come from one or two directions at a time, but the attack should be a distinct "cone" widening as it gets towards the base, before suddenly pincering back in wherever available to cover as much surface area so possible. -

Piotr Bomak AdminIt's by design that this attack doesn't happen from all sides at once. We might add an additional level of this attack that goes all out in one moment to make it more difficult. We'll think about that. Let's leave this 'under consideration' for now.

JadeneaThe final attack has a bug. It doesn't scale with difficulty. On custom Brutal 500%, the waves are still at 100% level, making the final wave FAR easier than the periodic attack waves.
