Patrol Drones
New towers / factories that allow you to 1) build various weapon/support drones and 2) new towers that allows you to make stationary points or set up patrol routes (like relay beacons or something) that your drones can guard or follow that attack/scan/collect/repair various enemies/wildlife/resources. (can make them smallish so they don't take up a lot of screenspace, and so you can make a lot of them, like a hive mentality to give you a reason to keep making them)
While I have no issue with the current state of building/resource gathering, being able to see a fleet of your self built helpers would be cool to see. After all, Mr. Riggs needs some friends. (it'd also be funny to give all the drones cute voices and let them talk with Mr. Riggs as you pass by or are in close proximity)
However, I do have issue with the current "drone" towers. They seem rather underwhelming at present, and I think a great opportunity is being wasted with them as they are.

And it could be fun if the drone in metal terror can be hacked and become hostile to you or your base (and why not a support tower or support drone to avoid it) -

Piotr Bomak Admin PinnedWe now have Attack Drone Twoers and Mine Layer Drone Towers. They do not patrol the vicinity of your base, but will always be there for you when you need them!

NICHOLAS CUENI would love to get rid of the current defensive drone tower (useless) in exchange for drone patrol towers that will explore the entire map and act as scouts. Maybe even add long range bombing drones

BYIn fact, the current UAV defense tower attack efficiency is inefficient, all aspects of properties are not prominent, and can not even be used as the main defense force, it could have more functions and variants.

RKTsuneThere is also the "army builder" idea someone else suggested regarding buildings that produce the local fauna, except on your side, that could be applied to a variety of drone towers.
