Either a setting or item skill tree that allows for an extended zoom, allowing for a greater view of your surroundings.

I would love to see this implemented as a setting. Particularlry since engaging enemies from north or south is much more restrictive than east or west in terms of monitor aspect ratio. Considering this is a TD game I should be able to see an equal distance in all directions.

This would be nice, yes. Maybe even just a simple choice in the settings of camera height "normal/far/very far" or something.

A zoom should definitely be included in the game. It's there, but it should work better with the graphics. if you zoom out too far e.g. Sandstorms are too violent and you can hardly see anything anymore.

Maybe you should also think about being able to rotate the camera to solve the north/west problem
