Add an A.I. (computer) enemy, that builds bases
If you do not want to play CO-OP with people, but want to go at it SOLO versus an A.I. The A.I. could build it's own bases, like a living enemy, like Metal Terror enemies invading other biomes?? and assaulting your bases there? The A.I. could either be a separate mode (like survival), or incorporated into campaign.

An idea is to rather then just having that boss that spawns randomly to send some stuff your way, you could have a completely other map that does that. Like your base gets big enough that its attracts attention from a nearby nest (off map) and you have to go there and destroy it or it will send stronger waves your way.
This would assume that the aliens work as a hivemind like the zerg, and not just be a collection of fauna that we have upset with our exploitation of their planet. -

JonathanI think the AI should have some of its own "maps" where you can attack it not only building its base onto yours

JusthereforIdeasIt can be interesting to have factions which you can befriend or make enemies.

AerensiniacWhile this is a very much fun suggestion, having a tangible enemy to dance with on the map instead of just the random spawns... this feature would probably need a few more things to see fruition, amongst the many, probably larger maps.
I think this would be one of the larger projects so im not sure if they'd pour resources into it considering the current state of the game.
See, RB strikes me as something that had strategic elements pushed onto it during later stages of development.
I do not know if this is the case, but currently it struggles with symptoms of this cause it cant properly generate diverse maps, it lacks tiles that have strategic value when picking starting positions for bases, it lacks in sheer map size, and it has a VERY simplistic AI that cant even be pathed (you cant build mazes or things they'd go around) because they just start hitting the first thing they come across regardless of what it is.
They'd need to rework a lot and from the ground up for this. -

UncleKumaOh, we gonna compete with SC2? Bring it on, Human vs Native Bio Alien vs Metal Alien.
Gonna start inventing tower rush straits on enemy base for this. -

1000i100For me an IA that build base like a playable faction could be cool but like another game (riftbreaker 2 perhapse ?)
But wave that include some hungry creature that rush your base, and some other that create outpost/spawner if you don't kill them soon enouth could be good (I love, for example, the pollution system in factorio : the more your base pollute, the more critters will grow, create outpost and attack you. There money is your pollution)
Also, without enemy base construction, attacking AI could be improved :
- between each wave a damage map is recorded, and the previous one is kept, but with a lower accuracy score.
- where enemy take damage from us is recorded as a place to avoid (to find weakness in our defenses)
- where enemy make damage to us is recorded as place to go (to use found weakness even more)
And why not basic enemy don't use damage map if not mixed with boss to start with easy enemy and continue with harder to contain because boss are brain for their wave. -

Shoarma papiI would definitely love this.
We could have a faction war lol, would be a cool challenge for co-op games. -

Piotr Bomak AdminThis is not planned currently as it is a gigantic feature to add. However, it seems like a really cool idea and I wouldn't rule it out, albeit in a distant future.
