Verticality!
Add elevation with ramps to create natural walls and more defensive positions and chokepoints. Could generate interesting maps and missions in the future (and potentially new enemy types)

Player1The lack of verticality is something that bugs me a bit because even with all the beautiful trees, rocks and pits it makes all the maps and even biomes feel like all the rest. I never get the urge to explore new maps from biomes I've aleary visited.
Imagine sheer cliff paths, rivers, waterfalls/lavafalls/morphiumfalls/sludgefalls/biomassfalls and coastlines or even deep abysses If you ever added an underwater DLC. There are the pits I mentioned earlier but they never give me that feeling of verticallty.
I do recognise that adding verticality might be to big of a project to be feasible to implement. I'm not a game developer so you be the judge. -

Piotr Bomak AdminThis is something that we would love to have, but we're limited by the design and engine features. While it wouldn't be impossible to implement, it is unlikely we will ever see it in this project.

MichaelThis must be in Riftbreaker 2. Would give massive update to game with new mechanism [higher tower = more range for rockets etc].
