pipes should carry electricity, this is basic house building in our current time and space, much less in the far future when we can teleport across continents. even if you have to add this as an alternate pipe after some basic research, bundling a power line on the outside of your pipe... it just makes sense. -

Piotr Bomak Admin PinnedPipe crossing has been added with World Expansion II. No further changes to the pipe system are planned.

YamiryuuZeroMaking pipes go parallel to each other without joining with the row next to them would be nice too.

KilltechI had often the need for pipe bridges, so one pipe goes over another without causing different liquids to mix.

JNeed some way for pipes of different liquids to cross each other. The new morpheum towers are cool, but it's pretty hard to work them into a defensive line that already needs plasma access for the shield generator.
Also the central button when interacting with pipes is some kind of flow control but there is no indicator when it's closed or open and it's unclear how it works on a junction piece. -

Deinonychus1All that’s really needed is a 1x3 pipe bridge building so they can cross. It would be a huge improvement, and doesn’t carry the same labeling issues of making pipelines able to run parallel. After all, if you have a water pipe next to a sludge pipe and you place a new pipe, to which does it connect?

DavidBetter pipe managment even better then factorio would be cool like a little underground system for example!

Vonictier 4 pipes are underground so nobody can attack them or maybe one type of Flora/Fauna can do that, but not everyone! that is the most frustrating thing in the game for me.

Dman20Underground, bridging, and running pipes parallel to other pipe runs would be fantastic! I know I was having some major issues late game with this and managed to reluctantly use lots of compressors / decompressors to semi work around it but still be nice to avoid using it just to go from one side to the other.

Piotr Bomak AdminUpgrades to the pipe system are not planned at the moment. However, we do not rule them out at all. We'll leave this 'under consideration' for now.

AaronWe absolutely need a way to protect pipes beyond the base where walls can't be built, like in the Morphium Lake. Either underground pipes, or armored pipes, or pipe walls, or something. And pipes running through/under walls is sorely needed.

MI think some of these are terrible ideas.
Multi-liquid is an anti-thesis of common sense. You don't mix water with petroleum, and then try to separate them.
Underground pipes is solid, if it works like in Factorio (i.e: the range isn't infinite).
Choosing whether or not you want pipes to automatically connect would be a boon, as it is an artificial limitation by games like this and Factorio. It's just plain silly. Why can't we have pipes that are adjacent to each other without connecting? -

testpilot24How about adding building that works as fluid exchanger? I see it as local version of building, that allows fluid transportation between region. But this one working only on local map. I can use existing variant for this, but it a energy hog. smaller variant, that works only on local map i think may resolve many problems with pipe management. In local map two of them unites two separate pipe networks into one, when they operational. Research for that building maybe reward for some mission in metal valley region.
